FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA, USA, September 7, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ – A new mall has arrived in Fayetteville – with longtime city resident Karese Whaley finally owning retail space in her own building. The project is open to the public at 4544 Yadkin Road in Fayetteville.

For Whaley, it’s an ambitious vision that has finally come true.

Whaley said “The Dixie Pawn site was the perfect place to build a new mall. I started looking in 2017, realizing that I could pay less rent for three businesses combined than if they had been left alone.” . As Whaley said, “I think it’s just great because you bring all these different types of businesses together under one roof. The very day that a property went up for sale, I made a offer. It is located at the busiest intersection of my and Nichols Buildings helped me make sure people could see from Skibo Road as well. Everything went well! “

“Even my storage space that I’ve been using for years is backed up in my new building easement,” Whaley said. “It’s impossible to run these businesses without storage and it physically shook me when I realized how close they would be.”

The three companies, Once Upon a Child, Plato’s Closet and Clothes Mentor, use the same business model, although they specialize in different sizes.

He was a child Fayetteville NC

Once Upon a Child is an organization that helps parents save up to 70% on retail while recycling their current merchandise for growing children.

The Once Upon A Child buys and sells lightly used toys, children’s clothing, shoes, baby gear, and furniture, helping area parents spend less money on new toys, which allows them to save more. Their goal is to help recycle items purchased by previous generations so that they can be reused with younger children who need them so they don’t have too much expense at once when they have kids.

The store buys and sells junior size clothing as well as young adult clothing, accessories, shoe outerwear, and sportswear for men or girls.

Clothing Mentor Fayetteville NC

Clothing Mentor sells clothing in a variety of sizes from 0 to 26, which often include popular brands such as Lilly Pulitzer, Michael Kors, and Tory Burch.

Clothes Mentor clothing store buys all kinds of fashion items for women, including handbags, accessories and designer clothes. They have a wide range of products throughout the seasons so everyone can find their favorite styles at great prices whenever they are on sale!

Whaley visited the franchise in Wilmington after seeing an advertisement for Once Upon a Child, which opened to be the first store in Fayetteville.

Whaley said: “I was looking to bring in some European children’s clothing, but when I visited the Wilmington store it seemed like a good fit. It was an easy decision for me to open this at our Fayetteville site as well. “

Once Upon a Child was an instant hit at the Crosspointe Center. In fact, Whaley realized that she had turned down many items that should be sized for young people because of their quality or condition. His plan to open Plato’s Closet therefore began shortly after this realization.

“It took a while to find the right place, but I opened Plato’s Closet in 2011 in this same mall.”

While operating Once Upon a Child and Plato’s Closet, Karese Whaley realized that women’s clothing would be another market to explore. She opened her second store in 2013 called Clothes Mentor at Westwood Mall.

“All three companies will have a centralized location in the Whaley Center. Not only that, but they will also have new designs for their franchises.”

The Whaley Center is going to house all of these businesses and not just because it’s centrally located; each company has also completely redesigned its design!

Whaley attributes her success to the unconditional love and work ethic she inherited from her father.

Whaley is a triple threat: she has business acumen, a strong volunteer work ethic, and a caring mother nature. She works with Cumberland County Hospitality Programs and Junior League of Fayetteville events such as Holly Day Fair to help children in need and support struggling community members.

“I’m a supporter of the Fayetteville Junior League. I focused on children’s organizations and I think it’s important as a business owner to give back to the community as well,” said Whaley.

Not only will the new building bring the three businesses together for a shopping experience, it will also give Whaley the peace of mind that she has been both a mother and a mentor who has always done her best in life. “I’ve wanted this my whole life … being my own boss was important”

The Whaley Center has opened its doors to customers, so you can easily visit them.
