Netto rolls out Imagr smart shopping cart in Denmark — Retail Technology Innovation Hub
Earlier this year, Imagr appointed former Sainsbury’s chairman David Tyler as chairman of its board.
“David brings deep retail industry experience and knowledge that is invaluable to Imagr at this important stage of rapid growth,” said Imagr CEO William Chomley.
“We are delighted to welcome David to the team. Their trust and commitment to Imagr is a true testament to the work of our teams, our client portfolio and the technology we have built.
“He sees the huge opportunity before us and he is committed to helping us take it to the next level.”
Tyler was the head of Sainsbury’s from 2009 to 2019.
“Bricks and mortar retail is changing,” he said.
“Shoppers want to use their time efficiently and have a seamless experience when they walk through the doors of a grocery store. Retailers need to meet this demand and provide the best possible customer experience. »
Imagr reports “very strong demand” for its product across Europe. He is also working on the deployment in Japan with the supermarket H2O Retailing.
Tyler said, “I am excited about what the future holds for Imagr and what our solution can do for retailers. We have ambitious plans and brilliant developments underway. I look forward to being part of something new and transformative for the industry.
